Visit the Cross and
Stable Church website
There is a service every Sunday at 11.00 am. Visitors and newcomers are very welcome.
- The church has good disability access.
- Children are welcome.
- Refreshments are served after the service.
The congregation is ‘ecumenical’ with people coming from different denominations and traditions, and the services reflect this variety, including material, for instance, from the Church of England, Methodist and Iona liturgies. As part of the Stantonbury Ecumenical Partnership we are sponsored by the Baptist, Church of England, Methodist and United Reformed Churches.
On the first Sunday of each month a team of volunteers sign the service for the benefit of the deaf and hearing impaired. The building is fitted with a ‘loop’ for those who wear a hearing aid.

… is a Tots group sponsored by Cross & Stable Church, with members of Cross & Stable involved in helping support the group. It aims to provide a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and a safe play environment where adults, toddlers and babies can enjoy meeting.
Family Tots isn’t just for Mums. Dads, grandparents and other carers are welcome too. It is open to anyone with pre-school children. We hope you’ll feel at home and enjoy coming.
There are toys and play equipment for the children, a drink and snack towards the end of the session (not forgetting tea and coffee for the adults). Sessions sometimes include a special time when we gather together for action songs and Bible stories (told in a fun way for the children).
