Stantonbury Ecumenical Partnership welcomes you and warmly invites you to attend our services and events
St Mary Magdalene Church, Willen
You are welcome to any of our services.
You may also like to come and look around the church – its simplicity and grace of style is well worth appreciating at first hand.
The church was erected in 1680, designed by Robert Hooke, and associate of Sir Christopher Wren.
An active worshipping congregation uses the church weekly. The church is kept open during daylight hours for all visitors to find peace and quiet and perhaps offer a personal prayer.

Liz Baker to join Stantonbury team
Rev Liz Baker will shortly be joining the Stantonbury Ministers Team.
She will be licensed by Bishop Alan Wilson as an Associate Priest on the evening of the Feast of St Michael and All Angels at Willen Church on Wednesday September 29 at 7.30pm.
Liz was a member of Willen Church before her curacy at Watling Valley Ecumenical Partnership and it is good to welcome her back in her new "incarnation"!
She continues to be Leader of the Well at Willen and will be available to minister in Stantonbury Partnership two days a week and two Sundays a month, with a focus on the Willen pastoral area.
She will work closely with Margaret Moakes, the lay preacher (Licensed Lay Minister) attached to Willen Church and Paul Smith, the Team Vicar.
Liz is pictured with Willen and Downs Barn minister, the Rev Paul Smith, at the presentation of her stole.
