Partnership prayer meeting to focus on how we take Jesus Christ into our communities

The Stantonbury Ecumenical Partnership is to stage a prayer morning at Christ Church, Stantonbury, on Saturday September 3.

The morning starts at 9.30am and continues until 12 noon and those attending are invited to be there for as long as they like from whatever time suits.

On the half hour, there will be five minutes of led reflection and prayer. The prayer will centre on how we take Jesus into our communities, and our local and global concerns especially climate change and the cost of living crisis.

Prayer options: interactive prayer stations, making collage working together or individually, chatting and sharing stories, praying with scripture.

Please take this opportunity to pray and listen to God’s leading.

Coffee, tea, cold drinks and snacks will be available.

Time for Sunday afternoon tea at St Andrew’s during August

Sunday afternoon teas return to St Andrew’s Church, Great Linford, during August.

The teas, an annual event, were disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic but are now back from 2 to 4pm. Due to complications with offering scones, they will not be on offer this year.

Drop by for afternoon tea at St Andrew’s Church this month.

Subject to donations of biscuits, chocolates and bottles, these will be available to purchase. Small plants for the raffle are also needed.
