Quorum feature in Stony Stratford church music celebrations

European Sacred Music – including English compositions – from the Renaissance and Contemporary will be celebrated at a concert by renowned Willen Church based Quorum on Sunday October 15.

The concert is being held at St Mary and St Giles Church, Stony Stratford, at 2.30pm and is part of the church’s Choral Music Celebrations.

Composers include Tallis, Byrd, Weelkes, Morales, Esevalds, Miskinis and Gjeilo.

Three decades of popular songs – Ukulele style- at Willen church’s TTTT session

The University of the Third Age’s ukulele band, U3lele will be entertaining at St Mary Magdalene, Willen’s next Third Tuesday Twelve Thirty session on October 17.

They will be playing popular songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s at the 45 minute long session starting at 12.30pm. So if you’re walking the dog or on your lunch break please pop in.

There will be complimentary cake and coffee to entice you into the church which can be found at MK15 9AB.

Donations will be for the church restoration fund and the Hooke Heritage Project.

Partnership considers the next move in bid to appoint Priest in Charge

Stantonbury Ecumenical Partnership is to consider the next steps following the abortive moves to appoint a new Priest in Charge with responsibility for the future Vision of our group of churches.

The Partnership had short listed a candidate for the post and was making preparations for the interview process when the selected person stated that they had accepted a position elsewhere.
