Chuks announces resignation from the Stantonbury Ecumenical Partnership

After seven years in the Stantonbury Ecumenical Partnership, the Rev Canon Chuks Iwuagwu has announced his resignation from his post as Priest in Charge at St Andrew’s Church, Great Linford.

The news was conveyed to all congregations in the Partnership on Sunday and Chuks will leave after the Trinity Sunday service on May 26.

Partnership set for important annual meeting this month

The annual meeting of the Stantonbury Ecumenical Partnership will be held on Thursday April 25 at Christ Church, Stantonbury.

This important meeting is open to all members of our six congregations and indeed they are encouraged to attend to find out what has been happening across our Partnership over the past year. The meeting starts at 7.30pm.

Nominations are requested for Trustees (2), SEP Council Chair, SEP Council Secretary and SEP Safeguarding Lead. Nomination forms are available from Anne Slee, anne.e.slee@gmail.com.

The Rev Dr Paul Smith has resigned as Team Rector and the advertisement for his replacement has now been posted. Meanwhile the Appointment of a new Baptist minister has taken a further step forward.

Ukelule group makes return visit to Willen Church’s lunchtime concert session

The University of the Third Age’s popular U3lele group make a welcome return to St Mary Magdalence Church, Willen, later this month.

The group will be the guests of the Third Tuesday and Twelve Thirty event on Tuesday April 16, playing music from that time until 1.15pm. They will be playing popular music from the 50s, 60s and 70s.

There is complimentary coffee with donations welcome towards the Church Restoration and Hooke Heritage Project. Entrance is free.
